Privacy Policy
Sept 24th, 2019

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted in the Oh My Groceries! app (“OMG!”), and on the Oh My Groceries! website (“website”). The developer of OMG! is Brian Mason("I").

Information Collected

When using OMG!, items you add to your list are added into a database on your device, and  that data will sync between your devices using Apple’s iCloud servers.  You can opt out of this syncing in the settings of OMG!

To use this syncing feature you must be logged into your Apple ID account, and all information from OMG! is held in your private iCloud database, controlled by Apple. I have no access to your Apple ID information or your iCloud database. The only way to access this information is by using OMG! on a device logged in to your Apple ID account.

While using OMG! you may choose to share your list with other people.  If you do so you are responsible for who gets to see your data and what they do with it. I have no access to information about who you choose to share your list with (no judgement), or how they use that information.  I don’t even know anything about the chocolate bar that “accidentally” fell into your cart last week.

It is possible to email me directly from OMG! for support or to give feedback, or from the website. Any information I receive though this correspondence is only used to respond directly to you. I keep a record of some support emails for reference. I never share your email address or any information provided throughout the support process.

OMG! keeps a list of what you purchase and when, for the purpose of showing you useful information about your shopping habits. This data lives on your device and is synced through your private iCloud database. I have no access to any of this data.

Analytics Information

I do not collect any analytics information about users or the usage of OMG!. Apple does collect a few analytics data points if you opt-in to sharing that information with Apple and Developers.  More can be found on the Apple website: https://developer.apple.com/app-store-connect/analytics/

The website uses cookies and Google Analytics to gather anonymized information about who visits the website. This information isn’t shared with anyone, and I don’t do any kind of advertising on the website.

How I Use The Information

Any and all information I have regarding users or usage of OMG! is used solely to improve OMG! and related services. If I ever start doing something with the information that I don’t currently have about you, you will be notified of the change of policy in OMG!
